Have I loved anyone enough that I'd do anything for them? That is what Ianto asked me. It hurt to do so but I brushed his question aside. I would have loved to tell him the truth, I really would have but I was confused, mad, angry… and a whole lot of other things at him at that moment.

He had lied to us. To me. He betrayed my trust. I wonder what how he would have reacted I had told him the truth. There’ve only been a couple of people whom I have loved like that- the Doctor, well I thought he was like that but it turned out it wasn’t. he loved Rose and I didn’t love him as much as I thought I did.

The other person that I loved like that was him. Ianto Jones. I had loved him forever, well not forever since I had only known him for a few years but it felt like forever. So yes I know what he was feeling with Lisa but it still didn’t change the fact that she was a danger to us, to the universe.

“Achilles’ baneful wrath- resound, O goddess- that impos’d infinite sorrows on the Greeks, any many brave souls loss’d” Ianto read from the book laying on his lap. Every night Jack and he had taken to reading a book together as they lay in bed.

Last night they had finished Jack’s choice which had been ‘Sharpe’s Tiger’ by Bernard Cornwell so tonight they had started Ianto’s choice of ‘The Illiad’ by Homer. Jack was sitting behind Ianto with his arms wrapped around his body.

It was prefect like this. Just the peace and quite with Ianto’s deep voice resonating over him. Jack would never admit it to Ianto but the first thing that attracted Jack to him was his voice when the first talked on the phone. Then when he saw him at the tourist desk he had fallen in love with him.

“From breasts heroic; sent them far, to that invisible cave that no light comforts; and their limbs to dogs and vulture gave,” Ianto continued with the story drawing Jack out of his reverie. Jack loved Ianto so much, it hurt him but he couldn’t live without him.

I had to do it. I loved her more than anything but I hated betraying Jack’s trust and friendship after everything he had done to me, well everything he thought he had done for me. I had to have Lisa back; I loved her more than anything. When she killed the doctor I knew deep down that something was wrong, that she wasn’t quite human but I pretended not to realise, I didn’t want to realise. I wanted her to be my beloved Lisa.

When Jack pointed the gun at my head I new that I had lost the battle, there was nothing I could do to save her but I tried to convince him even though I knew it was futile. This woman wasn’t Lisa. I didn’t know when she had stopped being her but I didn’t like this new woman. Jack forgave me for what I did but I still can’t feel like I betrayed his trust. I wonder what the answer to his question would have been. I doubt he would have had one; he’s so distant and cold.

When they killed Lisa I was devastated but deep down I knew they had done the right thing. I’m surprised he forgave me and let me back.

These are lovely little snapshots into life for the two of them. I giggled at the thought of Jack reading the Sharpe books, I can definately see how Sharpe would appeal to Jack, they're rather similar characters on a lot of ways :)
